Jakarta City Tour :

• MONAS (National Monument) is a 450 ft (137 m) tall tower in Central Jakarta, symbolizing the fight for Indonesia indepedence. Construction began in 1961 under Sukarno`s Government and finished until 1975 under Suharto`s Government. It`s topped by a 14,5 ton bronze flame, which is plated in 35 kg of gold. From the entrance and under ground ticket box, visitor get through a tunnel under stone-pavement around the monument to the central part of the park. On inner parts of walls surround the monument in central part of the park, there is a series of statutes and relief depicted the history of Indonesia that spam from ancient empire of Majapahit to the history of modern Indonesia. Visitors can take an elevator up to upper platform beneath the golden flame with a view of Medan Merdeka Park, Istiqlal Mosque and the city of Jakarta.

• Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Miniature or Beautiful Indonesia Miniature Park, it has an area of about 250 acres. The park is synopsis of Indonesia culture, with virtually al aspects of daily life in Indonesia 30 provinces, separate pavilion with the collection of archihecture, clothing, dance, and traditions are all decipted impeccably. Apart from that, there is lake with a miniature of the archipelago in middle of it,cable cars, museum, a theatre called the Theatre of My Homeland, and other recreational facilities which make Taman Mini Indonesia Indah one of the most popular tourist destinations in the city.

• Planetarium is an application for the Palm Connected Organizer that plots star charts and offers some unique, useful features for the beginning star gater as well as for the professional astronomer. You can calculated twilight times, moonphases, magnitude, distance, rise and get times much more of the planets and all the other objects in the sky.

• Sea Wold and Art`s Market ANCOL. This colossal recreational resort faces the enchanting Jakarta Bay. Its prime attraction, the Fantasyland amusement park,keeps children of all ages entertained the entire day. Art buffs and tourist in each of souvenir should visit Pasar Seni (art and handicraft market). Other might like to check out Sea World (an Oceanarium) for an educational tour on marine life or Ancol Water Park for yet more fun also a nice beach.

• Ragunan Zoo is South Jakarta is popular place to visit, particularly during holidays. Jakarta`s zoo is situated in suburb of Ragunan in Southern park of the city. Laid out in a lush tropical setting, such in digenous animals as Komodo lizard, Tapir, Anoa, Java tiger, Banteng, Wild Ox and brightly coloured birds are given ample room to be in this green foliage.

• Museum Nasional (National Museum). The museum is located on Merdeka Barat street. Currently the National Museums houses collection of 109.342 objects under the categories of etnograhy, numismatic-heraldic, geography and historical relics. In 1994,the museum started with is expansion project, the new building constructed in the same architectural style as the old, comprises an arena for theatrical performances and more spaces for exhibitions.

• Thousand islands. 1000 islands near Jakarta has been a favourite destination for ages. The surrounding watersare a paradise for skin divers. They are filled with a myriad of tropical fish, the bay contains a sprinkling of “ Virgin Islands”, although the majorities are in habited.

• Museum Fatahillah. This museum is located at Jl. Fatahillah no.1 in down-town Jakarta and it is the oldest building in Jakarta. This building was originally used as Town Hall of Batavia, which was built and inagurated in 1710. The museum features the historical development of the city, using a display of various of furniture, chinaware,a map of Jakarta from the 18th century, portrait of Batavia`s Governor General, European porcelains used by them, stoneware, old gravestone, kitchen, utensils, coins, etc. There are among other, the replica of the Tugu Inspriction from the age of Great King Purnawarman, forming evidence that the centre of the Kingdom of Tarumanegara was located in around the seaport of Tanjung Priok.

• Anyer. Anyer beach has become a famous destination in the province of Banten, Indonesia. Since 1980 Anyer comes into popular just because its status as one of the Banten`s Seven Wonder of Nature and its geographic location that is near to the capital Jakarta. Moreover, the Banten Provincial Government has commited to develop Anyer Beach into a worth visiting tourism object in Indonesia. Anyer is administratively located in Anyer Sub-district, Serang District, Banten, Indonesia. The location is about 160 km away from Jakarta, Indonesia. Many facilities have been provided for the visitor. Various types of inn are available as well. You can find some resorts, cottages, homestays, villa and hotels. Other facilities such as tourism information centre, guide, beach guard, sun-bathing area, souvenir shop, diving equipment rental and many more.

• Taman Safari Indonesia. Taman Safari is the biggest zoo in Indonesia. It only needs maximum 3 hours from Jakarta, in the middle route between Jakarta – Bandung. Inside the parks you can go around in your car and watching the animals set free, wandering around the car. Even they have a night safari every night 8 – 11 pm. A nice break for a busy and restless from Jakarta.

Jakarta is a very large and can be confusing for those of you who arrive in Jakarta for the first time. However, with the the right choice of transportation, you will be able to arrive at the Bangka Bed And Breakfast, without too much problem.

Bangka B & B is located in South Jakarta, in the Kemang neighborhood, in a quiet enclave amidst the food and shop area of Kemang.

By Bus (DAMRI Bus)

You can take a bus straight from the airport to Blok M Terminal. From Blok M terminal yau can take a taxi to Bangka B & B. Bus fare is Rp 11.000,- and taxi fare is around Rp 25.000,-. The Blok M Terminal is about 1 hour’s ride from the airport, and the taxi ride to our place will take around 20 minutes.

If you prefer to go by taxi it is strongly recommended that you take a taxi at the official taxi counter at the exit gate of the airport. You can take Blue Bird Taxi, for an instance (it’s one of the most reliable taxi company in Jakarta). Other Blue Bird affiliated taxi companies is Silver Bird Taxi

Taxi fare from Airport to Bangka B&B:
Blue Bird Taxi fare is around Rp. 150.000 – Rp. 200.000 (around USD 15 – 20)
Silver Bird Taxi fare is around Rp. 250.000 – Rp. 300.000 (around USD 30)
